EU Consults on Aviation and Climate Change
The European Commission has today (11 Mar 2005) launched its consultation on
reducing the climate change impact of aviation.
Published by DG Environment, the web-based consultation seeks views from individuals
and organisations through a questionnaire. It would like to hear opinion and views
on aviation’s contributions to climate change and possible ways to reduce it.
Responses will be used as input for a Communication which the Commission plans
to issue in July 2005. This Communication will draw policy conclusions and recommend
a way forward to reduce aviation’s climate change impact.
