Expansion plans for Battersea heliport

Mr Davis, who owns a fleet of helicopters and private jets, said yesterday: “The
exclusive new development at London’s heliport heralds an exciting and important
stage in von Essen’s expansion. We will be creating world-class facilities that
will provide high-end users with the luxury and levels of convenience which are
lacking at the moment.”     The contract to operate the heliport has been handed
to PremiAir, the helicopter charter service with bases in Denham, near Uxbridge,
Middlesex, and Blackbushe, near Camberley, Surrey.   Battersea has seen a significant
increase in business. Over the last three years, it is estimated that helicopter
flights have increased by 18.5pc to around 12,800 a year.   (Telegraph)
