The Group acquired the 82.7% shareholding of former owner, Manchester Airports Group (MAG), for an undisclosed sum.

The airport has potential for growth, and under the present airport management team, supported by Eastern Group, will develop in accordance with the business plan already in place.”

Perishables hub opens at Humberside Airport
10.11.08 A £1.6 million development that will help firms access global markets was opened
by a Government minister at Humberside Airport today. The Minister for Yorkshire and the Humber, Rosie Winterton, opened the
Perishables Hub, which will provide global and regional businesses with airside
cold storage facilities.
The new facilities will enable perishable goods, for example seafood, to be flown
direct in to the airport and stored immediately. This will dramatically boost
the airport’s abilities in air-freighted distribution and reduce the miles food
currently travels.
