Plane Stupid targets Red Bull-sh*t over London City Airport plan
Plane Stupid has deposited a large mound of manure outside the south London HQ of soft drink giant Red Bull. Three activists, dressed as ‘avenging air hostesses’in Red Bull's colours, crowned the mound with placards reading: ‘Red Bull-sh*t’, ‘Red Bull gives you (plane) wings’ and ‘No second runway by stealth.’ The move was prompted by the revelation that Red Bull has applied for planning permission to build an aerodrome opposite London City Airport.

Plane Stupid issues 48hr subvertising challenge in April
It's that time of year when every airline starts aggresively advertising for your business. Well, Plane Stupid has had enough and is inviting all of you to take part in its very own subvertising competition. From Thursday 22nd April - Friday 23rd April, Plane Stupid will be launching 48 hours of sticker-whacking, subvertising, adbusting pandemonium. Any airline poster, advert or billboard is fair game to reclaim some public space. Taking part is easy. (Plane Stupid)

Climate Refugee Santas in London City Airport Protest
20 Climate activists dressed as Santa Claus were pushed out of London City Airport departures lounge by police and security guards. Presents of cartoon books about the problems with carbon trading, carbon ration books, and toy trains were left undelivered. These were meant for the passengers on the final flight to Copenhagen. So why are they FLYING to Copenhagen?

Plane Stupid turf Virgin Atlantic out of their seats at the PR awards
Last night 7 Plane Stupid activists and one Heathrow resident popped over to the PR Week Awards and hijacked a table reserved for Virgin Atlantic. Virgin have been strong advocates for the 3rd runway at Heathrow and expansion of Britain's airports. Dressed in glamourous evening wear, the activists entered the glitzy awards, which celebrates the highlights of the year's public relations work. They occupied Virgin Atlantic's table and refused to leave.

Heathrow villages resident joins activists at PR Awards protest
The day that BAA started to buy up homes in readiness for a 3rd runway, a Heathrow villages resident decided to join Plane Stupid activists to highlight the plight of residents. Christine, whose 78-year old mother, and sister live in the area that would be demolished, said when she heard that BAA were starting to buy up homes, knowing the runway is unlikely to ever be built, something had to be done to highlight what BAA is doing to local villages.

Greenpeace volunteers occupy Parliament to save the climate
Fifty-five Greenpeace volunteers scaled the walls of the Houses of Parliament and occupied the roof with banners saying "CHANGE THE POLITICS, SAVE THE CLIMATE". Greenpeace is calling for a new style of politics in Britain, to meet the challenge of climate change. Around 20 stayed for the night on the roof. Britain needs a step change in the scale of emissions cuts, with only 60 days till Copenhagen. The UK needs politicians who are thinking about the next generation, not just the next election.

City Airport protest as “Son of Concorde” all business flight launches
Protestors at London City Airport gave the new BA all business, luxury service to New York a noisy send off. The flight, which has to refuel at Shannon on the way because City's runway is too short for a fully fuelled plane, will bring yet more misery to those affected by the airport. The new flight is one of the least fuel efficient means there is to get to New York, in plane designed for 110, but converted for only 32 full length bed seats.

Climate Rush – time to get on your high horse and cart
Climate Rush on the Run is a a horse-and-cart tour designed to raise awareness and get people involved with campaigning to reduce emissions for climate change. They set off on 4th September, with Sipson the first stop. Their tour, which is petrol-free, winds it way to Exeter and Totnes by the end of September, with Oxford airport as one of its stops. This is just one of many activities in the run-up to the Copenhagen summit in December.
